Building the frame/housing

A suitable photoframe will be the front of the LRC. A small housing will be built and attached to this frame so the hardware can be mounted directly on the frames back.

Ideas for building the touch interface

Java should be executable on the Overo. Therefore the interface could possible been implemented with this easy to use language.
Source will be opensource after development.

Powering the LRC

The Overo and the USB hub need a power connection. For not needing a separate cable for each, a small modification on an existing 5V/3500mA power supply is necessary.

Hey. Did you manage to get the 7" LCD working with the Overo?

    Sincerely,
    Donat

    hi donat

unfortunatly not really. i was able to run the test-programs which were supplied with the driver (which control the display directly over the usb bus), but i was not able to install the driver and set up the X server correctly :-/

    are you trying someting similar?

    cheers,
    manuel

    Hi,

I am curious about the touch screen too. I have a broken laptop LCD screen and was planning to connect to the overo, but unfortunately couldn't figure how to. I think I will settle for the usb touchscreen lcd, if your plan works out.

    Please keep us posted.
